Yonex Duora Z Strike Badminton Racket Review

The Duora Z Strike badminton racket was introduced in late 2016 as the flagship of Yonex’s Duora range. I finally managed to get my hands on one to review.

You may have changed this via annotation but it’s spelled torque, not torc

Another great review. I have been playing with this since May (3U, G5, Aerobite @ 25 lbs.). With Aerobite strings, and red or orange overgrip it looks great.

Alot of people are saying this is a “lighter” version of the Voltric Z-Force II. Yes even the 4U version. I usually play with 4U racquets ranging from flexible to extra stiff (head light & head heavy), except even balance. I was surprised how much I enjoy this racquet. I am a counter-attack player who loves to play in the rear court. I am debating if I should try it with BG80 which I’m used to. This was my first time playing with Aerobite strings.

I can tell the slight difference between the 2 sides. I agree, it should not be a deciding factor if you spin your racquet while in play. I actually don’t do that. A player will need to have good and precise technique as it can make your arms sore on backhand clears. Enjoy!

Paul, i’ve had the Duora Z for 3 months now, and it has been going pretty well. It’s the 3Ug5 model and it’s strung at 24 before, Probably around 22 atm. I wanted to try the 2U model because i kinda like the “heavy swing” feeling of a racket, but even with this 3U i’m already generating more than enough power to do a clear way over the line. Does that mean i should try the heavier version or probably go with something different?

Which one do you prefer most? LD Force or Duora Z Strike?

It was released in 2017 not 2016

Hi Paul, If you ever need any rackets to review just get in touch. We hold a large range of Yonex, Victor and more and always have loads of demos. Thanks.

Great review. Support you as always.

“It’s a bit more like a heavier than JS10”
hhmmzz remind me something..

“JS10 oozes power too despite being an even balance offering.
My goodness if Victor could add a little more weight to the head,
this racket will be my utopia.”

5 star gold for LDF n JS10..
Will ZStrike be the first 5 star platinum racket?

Bryce Reyes says:

Hi Paul!

Just wanted to ask if you could do reviews on all the remaining Duora rackets? (Duora 88, 77, and 55)
Thanks a lot!
