We are big fans of Sam Bats drop 5 Wood bats. Mostly because we really like the larger barrel.

Most Youth Wood bats, in the past, are made with 2 1/4 inch barrels because Little League baseball (some months ago now) required bats be no larger than 2 1/4. That applied to wood bats too.

Now that Little league wood bats can be larger than 2 1/4 these Sam Bat Drop 5 (at about 2 5/8) are a perfect fit.

Love wood bats

TheNukeMan says:

It looks like he’s swinging in slow motion

Best advice. Swing wood as early as possible. My 8 year old son has been swinging wood the last 2 or so years. He beat his 11 year old buddy and his 2 friends that are all all stars in a wiffle ball home run derby. Not saying he would win everytime but he is right there with them.

Equalizer says:

I would love if they would do a bat review on the Louisville slugger vapor USA baseball bat

Im just keating says:

Fix his follow through plz

Jeff Harris says:

My 12 year old swings the 2018 Zen -8 (30/22) this year, mostly because he feels like the -10 bats don’t give him any feedback or distance comparatively. At what age do you think it’s appropriate to switch to the -5 bat? I know at 14 in USSSA they require them to use -5 or BBCOR, but would 13 be ok to switch? He’s about 5’2″ 120 lbs

CN GAMES says:

He needs to swing harder the ball isn’t going anywhere also throw him an outside ball and he won’t drive it…. lots of work needed on that swing

Extended Klip Productions AH says:

Can u do the cat 8 review when it comes out
